Zuzi Zu - Vatra

 

Bosnian artist Zuzi Zu often surprised by his many fans a new song and the last in the series is " Fire ." 

Zuzi Zu: "The song " Fire " I've worked in order to get back to my musical beginnings and disco house music. Text I've done quite quickly but work on music especially melody was lengthy - more than a year. It was hard to find a melody in which I sang four different voices and about three octaves".

 

Zuzi Zu je nekadašnja članica “Mirzinog Jata “ fantastičan vokal velikog hita "Apsolutno tvoj", bila je vokalna podrška "Bijelog Dugmeta", prateći vokal mnogih velikih imena poput Zdravka Čolića, Indeksa... Danas Zuzi Zu, prije svega, snima za svoju dušu. Ali i za srca mnogih bisera rasutih po svijetu koji su godinama, upoznali pa zavoljeli Zu i njeno djelo. Vratila se ponovo na muzičku scenu i obećava nam odlične pjesme i vrhunske spotove. Pjesma “Vatra” će se naći na albumu "Made in Sarajevo".

Zuzi Zu: "Aleksandar Kobac je napravio sjajan aranžman sa saksofonom i ludim ritmom! Video Production Invenio Films  je snimio i režirao spot, a ja sam izradila kostime i scenario. Osim toga, DJ Ruvex je uradio vrhunski remix za „Vatru“ pa smo i za njegovu verziju uradili poseban spot".

- Why "Bijelo Dugme" cover " Ruzica si bila"?

Zuzi Zu: "The first time I heard the "Ruzica si bila" in the studio in 1986. singing backing vocals for the LP " Pljuni i zapjevaj moja Yugoslavia" from " Bijelo Dugme". On first listen I really liked and I felt as a woman's song. All these years I've wanted to record it . Last year I was visiting with Goran Bregovic in Belgrade, and he listened to a couple of my new songs and told me '"Zu 's nice , but I'd like to hear your voice with only two, three living instrument". It intrigued me. However is not every song unplug version. This song "Ružica" I sang very often, myself , at home. A few months ago I recorded at studio. Interesting that I sang in one breath, without any repetition. "

- Your " Ružica " in the same moment, and melancholic, nostalgic and yet uplifting ?

Zuzi ZU: "For me, "Ruzica si bila" is love , a love that has passed and it was memorable. It is hoped that could again happen love between all of us.".

- Video is black and white . Why? What is the idea of the video?

Zuzi Zu: " Yes, spot "Ruzica si bila"  was filmed at the ruins of the Barracks "Tito" in Sarajevo. Dejan Miličevic designated spot to be in black and white and rose is red . Dejan mag for video or image . Seems to me that he photographed my soul in this video".
